Dudes: Brazilians. Really?

I was recently approached, and have been in the past several times, by a friend(s) that are attending esthetician school to be their model in Brazilian waxing. A Brazilian wax is a waxing that removes the pubic hair from the top of the pubic bone ALL the way down across the taint or tate (thats just two of many slang terms i have heard of that area, not sure the medical term)- the area between the penis or vagina to the rectum- including the rectum. ALL the hair in those areas. I say that twice to get point across. And the real point is... I'm not sure. I don't know all the regulations about it, but from what I understand if you want you Master Esthetician license you must perform a male Brazilian wax. Why would schools require that? Why would men want that done? Why would women subject themselves to doing it? It's immoral and wrong and weird and gross and I could go on. I'm thoroughly sickened and disgusted. I realize it's a "beauty" (blah) thing or whatever you want to call it and probably no one is forcing any guy to get it done or for that matter once a women had her license and worked at a spa I'm sure they could decline giving that service, but still i have to ask, What the hell is wrong with people?
I wrote the above statement in a bias why making it seem that only women are in esthetician school, which is not true. There are men and I'm sure they perform waxings too in that area. Although, in Utah, I THINK there are laws against men doing private area waxing, but the rest of the states who knows. If by some unfortunate, satanic strain of events i had to get a waxing there, i think i would prefer a man to do it same as i feel more comfortable with men giving me a physical or checking my man parts. I just do. Which brings me to a more disturbing topic.

Male Gynecologists
This paragraph might be rude or offending of the profession if anyone you know is a male gyno. I don't intend on making it that way, it just comes across that way.
Why would any self respecting man want to be in a profession where he looks at vaginas all day? I'm positive girls and women feel more comfortable with women checking them out. So, why do men do it? Sometimes young girls have to get checked out and even though it's a doctor its probably humiliating to the girl. And I'm not excluding women. There are women who probably hate going to their yearly check up because the fact that they are embarrassed to be in such a revealing position to another man regardless if it's for their own good. And if women are embarrassed, and they do get embarrassed( i have heard friends says its weird, seen shows making fun of it and such) why would they go in if something really was wrong? Some might be so humiliated to come in with a problem to a man that they might go unchecked. I realize there are women in the profession (thank god), but not enough. After some brief research i found that it will still be maybe a decade before there is an equal amount of men and women gyno's. So maybe a women can't find a another women doctor to help her feel more comfortable in the matter and there only choice is to go to a guy. A guy who is by any and all definitions a creep. No offense, but even the word vagina sounds like a disease, so why would any guy want to look at a disease sounding body part with an infection or disease itself? I don't know. Maybe I'm being immature about, I understand its for medical reason's, but being a heterosexual male i like to remember the female as something without flaw, not to be examining, or finding the potential problems in the part that makes a human a female in the first place. Maybe that's the problem? Call me sexist, but some jobs should be left to females and some jobs should be left to males. I'm Done.

I AGREE!!! There is no reason for males to receive a brazilian wax. For females at least there are some reasonable reasons; for example swimming suites. I will leave it at that!! I know I don’t want to see that and most people I think would agree! Most people would probably prefer to wax them selves so they don’t have to go through the humiliation. And on the gyno topic I personally would rather go to a female gyno rather a male. not being sexist just more comfortable with women down there than men:)

I agree that there is no reason a guy should get a brazilian waxing, but for girls there is an obvious reason. Guys these days are getting more and more girly, and although it is their choice and they are definately entitled to it, it is lame. In society there is, and should be roles for men and for women. Guys that get fake tans, waxes, and wear girl jeans(among a few examples) slowly lose their manliness, and narrow the gap between men and women.

I think i would have to go with you on the whole male gynecologists issue. Myself, being a girl, would feel more comfortable with a woman checking me down there then a man. If its a man I would feel like he is checking me out or that he might not diagnose me correctly because he might be distracted. Gynecologists should definetely have to be women. It should be like a written rule. I dont know any girl who would CHOSE to go to a guy instead of a girl so why have them? About the waxing.. I dont ask questions. If a guy wants to do that then thats their choice and pain. Not even I would do that to myself, I dont see it nessesary. I think its way weird that they would make it a requirement to graduate. Just.... weird.

Haha this reminds me of the show Knocked Up, when she is at the gynecologist and he says "Oh you do look like your sister" haha so creepy. I think that any male who wants to go into gynecology for a profession must have some sort of creepiness factor to him. No offense to anyone that know a male gyno. But seriously what man, that isn't a little bit perverted, chooses to study vaginas in school?

I do not think that waxxing should even be legal. I had my little sister wax my back when I went up to visit my family a few weeks ago and it was horrifically painful. I couldn't do anything but laugh. It hurt so bad. My back even started bleeding when she pulled off the strip. As someone who has had a wax job my recomendation is to never ever ever get one.
