Each October since I've lived in Utah the weather changes and I just want to go back home to sunny and warm southern California. The cold weather out here for me is almost unbearable. It does get colder in California around this time, but its nothing like the cold out here. I hate having to bundle up just to run a quick errand. I miss just being able to throw on a hoodie at most to go outside. This is also a very depressing time of year for me. The sun will soon disappear behind the big, ugly clouds which drop snow onto the ground which make it hard to drive and walk. I have been trying to talk my wife into moving to California since we've been married. I have been pretty close to talking her into it at times, but I just cant seem to cut the umbilical cord. We have come a long way from separating her from her family but just not enough to get us out of these miserable Utah winters. My wife told me I should try snowboarding to help me enjoy the winters, so I did.
I had a lot of fun and did enjoy being in the snow for once, however, snowboarding is an expensive sport and I am too busy to go as often as I would like, plus in California I would just have to drive a half hour to the mountains and I could snowboard until I am tired of the snow and drive back home where I would be warm and out of snow. I love to be outside and I love playing sports, its so cold during the winter out here that we stay inside our house or if we go anywhere its usually to the mall or somewhere indoors. I also don't like how the winter is like 7 months long out here, only leaving me with around five months out of the year to enjoy the outdoors.
