The Best, The Worst

Lila asked me to post the quote I read to you in class. The words belong to the great Irish poet W. B. Yeats; they come from his poem "The Second Coming":

The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity
